Work or Play: Which is more important?

What is work and play? Are they the same thing? Or are they completely different?
-> Let us first define these terms technically,
- Work:- “activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result. “
- Play:- “engage in activity for enjoyment and recreation rather than a serious or practical purpose. “
From the given definitions we can clearly see that ‘work’ and ‘play’ are somewhat connected. Let us now point out these similarities,
- To either initiate ‘working’ or ‘playing’, you will need to perform a certain activity.
- Both lead to the satisfaction or dissatisfaction of the person. According to what activity they do.
What is the difference between work and play? Some work requires dedication and commitment, some is less focused. Play is generally something you can stop at any time. In other words, nobody requires you to play, whereas usually either someone else or your own dedication requires you to work.
- Examples of work:- studying, chores etc.
- Examples of play:- leisure activities, sports, gaming, etc.
Work can be a successful path to get to the fulfillment we desire as humans, the satisfaction we need. We must use our intellect to perform work to the best of our ability, this way we can assure that the outcome of our work will fulfill our desires and “make us happy”
Play stands for something that is neither ‘work’ nor ‘rest’ . The word “play” could stand for an activity that demands a skill that is not necessary to obtain something or to create something out of it. But unlike working, playing does not bring frustration along with satisfaction, it usually only brings satisfaction.
So, I think both are extremely important as like I stated before that they’re in a way, interconnected. The efficiency of work can depend on our morale, and the only way morale can increase if the person is feeling satisfied with his work. While playing sports, there is an adrenaline rush which results in greater satisfaction. I believe both should be equally balanced, as the satisfaction gained through playing can help in increasing dedication towards working.
Conclusion:- Work is the purpose of life, you can gain satisfaction and money by working hard. Which will allow you to play more. Work hard-Play hard
